AMCO has invested in 16 new DAF XF 530 44-tonne tractor units. Supplied by Asset Alliance Group on a five-year contract hire deal, the trucks are part of the company’s fleet upgrade and expansion programme.
The Redditch-based logistics provider says the new trucks move the company a step closer to rolling out its sustainability-focused ‘road map to the future’ project.
Mark Jones, AMCO’s Operations Director, says: “We recognise the need to remain flexible in order to meet the constant change in customer requirements as a result of wider market conditions, and Asset Alliance Group were able to meet our needs when it came to upgrading our tractor units.
“To stay ahead of the curve, AMCO now utilise a mix of company-owned vehicles that comprise solar technology to help reduce CO2 emissions, and leased vehicles that enable us to react accordingly to market demands without affecting internal operations or planned contract work.”
Asset Alliance Group Business Development Manager, Lee Tearle, said: “We are proud to have AMCO as a customer and we are delighted that they continue to expand their fleet with our support and with the latest DAF trucks.”
