Asset Alliance Group has put two new MAXUS electric pick-up trucks into service as part of its growing sustainability commitments.
Based at the group’s Wolverhampton headquarters and its Newmains site in Scotland, the T90EV pick-ups have an official range of more than 200 miles and a maximum payload of 1,000kg.
They will carry out a range of tasks, including the collection of spare parts and staff transportation when vehicles are delivered to customers.
If successful, more EVs will be introduced to the group’s support fleet subject to the availability of sufficient charging capacity.
Asset Alliance Group established an Environmental Management Group to implement reductions in its carbon footprint earlier this year, and its company car fleet is already hybrid-electric.
The business recently welcomed Rob Gwynn to its team as part of its commitment to serving customers’ changing needs.
As Strategic Development Manager, Gwynn is driving efforts to increase the number of alternatively fuelled vehicles across the business.
He is also supporting the group’s customers on their individual green journeys. Asset Alliance Group is already a leader in the supply of electric buses and coaches, with plans in place to run trials of fully electric HGVs with several customers this year.
