Describe your remit and responsibilities as Sales Compliance Manager
My role with Asset Alliance Group (AAG) is varied and supports several areas of the business. I am responsible for overseeing the daily rental activities, managing my own customer portfolio, supporting team members with credit submissions, and assisting the sales director and sales team with reports. I also manage some customer recharges (essentially passing an agreed, incurred cost on to a client).
What do you enjoy most about working for AAG?
I enjoy working with people in different areas of the business, which has allowed me to continue learning about our different services. It’s clear that we have great people in the business who are always willing to help and support each other’s growth.
What’s the best thing about your team?
I work closely with our Sales Director Paul Wright who has supported my development and has provided guidance and shared his experiences with me. The Contract Hire, Leasing and Rental team have excellent working relationships, and we continue to motivate each other to achieve the best results that we can.
Can you offer an example of the positive company culture at AAG and supportive management?
At the end of 2024 my 5-year-old niece suffered a neurological stroke following on from planned open-heart surgery and almost didn’t survive. This was personally a really difficult time. However, I received some amazing support from the business to allow me the flexibility to work from home, around hospital visits to support her parents. I received so many lovely messages from people throughout the company too, which is a great example of the people and positive culture of AAG.
What has been your biggest personal achievement in your role?
I received the first Outstanding Individual Performance award at our 2023 Annual Conference. I believe achieving that was due to the support AAG has given me with my career progression since I started here in 2018.
Describe yourself in three words.
Loyal, honest, helpful.
Who is your role model or hero outside of work, and why?
My answer will be no surprise to anyone who knows me – Henrik Larsson! As a young boy all he wanted was to be a footballer. His teachers at school said he would never achieve anything. Instead, Henrik used the negativity to chase and achieve his dreams. What really inspires me about Henrik is that he achieved so much in his career yet remained humble. He is an example of how we shouldn’t let anyone stop us from chasing our dreams, and that we are all equal as people regardless of titles, money or fame.
