Stellar performance for Asset Alliance Group in latest AF50 ranking caps memorable year

Asset Alliance Group has been recognised as the fastest growing company in the latest edition of the prestigious Asset Finance UK 50 2025 (AF50) – a who’s who of the lending sector.

At a summer awards event held to mark the tenth year of publication of the report, Asset Alliance Group received the Strongest Growth in One Year (Percentage) Award – which was collected by Anthony Jones, Head of Vendor Finance and Key Accounts.

Willie Paterson, Chief Executive at Asset Alliance Group, says: “The past few years have been some of the most challenging for our sector, but our unerring customer focus, fairness and strength in depth, has resulted in a tremendous performance that we are proud to be recognised for.

“The journey to decarbonisation, which we are supporting our customers closely with, does present hurdles to overcome, but there are also opportunities too. I am confident we will make the most of these and see the business develop further thanks to our excellent team.”

While 24 firms reported book growth of over 10% in the report, Asset Alliance Group led the pack with a rise of 103% in the year to 31 December 2023, beating Tower Leasing (53%) and Renaissance (49%) into second and third place, respectively.

The stellar performance also saw Asset Alliance Group climb the overall rankings, moving from 49th in 2024 to 38th in the latest edition with net leasing of £199m – the largest step of any company this year.

The AF50 Report has charted a decade of transformation in the UK asset finance industry, one defined by resilience, innovation, and long-term growth. From a total leasing book of £28.3 billion in 2015 the top 50 has grown to comprise a total leasing book of £47.7 billion in 2025.

This year’s report reveals a broadly positive outlook among participants, with 40 of the top 50 firms maintaining or growing their portfolios.

Asset Alliance Group has more than 5,000 trucks, trailers and passenger vehicles on fleet and provides operators in the commercial and passenger transport sectors with access to a complete range of financing options including contract hire, hire purchase, operating lease and rental.
