We’re not sure if we’d call the customisation on Irvine Plant’s new Volvo FH500 a make-over or a glow up, but whatever we call it there’s no danger of anyone forgetting this incredible truck in a hurry!
After first seeing it advertised for sale on our Facebook sales page, Director Ewan Irvine snapped it up and spec’d a unique and incredibly special customisation including:
- New wiring
- New tipping gear
- New Kelsa bars, spotlights, work lights
- Catwalk, side skirts, rear chassis infill
- Exhaust stacks
- New alloys and tyres
- Rear Bailey perimeter kit, beacons and airhorns
And as a finishing touch, the dedicated family man also commissioned images of his partner and three children to be hand-painted onto the back of the truck.
Irvine said: “As soon as I saw the Volvo FH online, I got in touch with the Asset Alliance Group sales team. It was relatively new with only one previous owner and a Volvo Gold Contract service and maintenance history. It was virtually perfect and after a test drive I didn’t hesitate to buy it.”
After such a comprehensive customisation, you’d think that would be the end of the adjustments for the truck, which is now hard at work with one low loader trailer and one tipper truck owned by the well-reputed plant hire, groundworks, surfacing and general contracting company based in Peebles, Scotland.
As it turns out, there’ll be one more change in the not too distant future…
Ewan says: “The truck is certainly turning heads and is a great advertisement for my company already.
“But now my partner is expecting again, so we’ll soon need to add one more face to the back!”
