Asset Alliance Group and Law Distribution have deepened their relationship with the arrival of nine DAF XB 260 rigids sporting a fresh design.
The new trucks, supplied on a five-year contract hire deal with full repair and maintenance, replace older vehicles in the haulage firm’s commercial vehicle fleet. They will be used for regional deliveries around Law Distribution’s Haydock base.
Angela Carus, Managing Director at Law Distribution, says: “We’ve worked together for many years. Asset Alliance Group are a great supplier and a great partner – they really know and understand our business.
“So, when it came to designing and spec’ing the vehicles for our drivers and the multi-drop work that they do, Richard Worthington and the team at Asset Alliance Group were brilliant: very knowledgeable and supportive throughout.”
The 18-tonne DAFs offer the right balance between capacity and manoeuvrability, given they will deliver to residential addresses and commercial properties alike, making length and width important considerations.
The curtain-sided vehicles are fitted with cantilever tail lifts, dual toolboxes, and feature solar panels mounted along the top of their bodies. The cells charge the battery continuously with solar energy, reducing fuel usage and CO2 emissions, while causing less degradation of the dynamo and battery.
Law Distribution’s trucks also feature a fresh new livery, keeping the company’s blue, white and red colours in an updated design.
“Asset Alliance Group were key in helping us deliver the new wrap. It’s been a great service, and they helped us throughout to shape something very smart that we can be proud of,” adds Carus.
Founded in 1994, the family-owned business is a Palletline member and offers 350,000ft2 of warehousing (including bonded status for alcohol), as well as distribution and contract logistics services. It runs a 60-strong vehicle fleet with 100 curtain-sided trailers and has a staff of 200.
