Like so many of you, I use the break between Christmas and New Year to reflect, assess and plan for the year ahead and my hope is that all of you share my feelings of optimism for 2022.
After almost two years of unparalleled upheaval and hardship in our industry and in personal lives, and a seemingly never-ending flow of mixed messages from politicians, economists and public health experts, it feels like things are finally improving.
And while we still need to be mindful of ongoing concerns and potential risks, it is my firm belief that we will see economic growth coupled with a return of confidence. And very welcome that will be!
Of course, the year will bring new challenges as well – not least around energy and fuel prices – and it will take time for us as a nation and us as businesses to work through the legacy of Covid.
However, those challenges should not distract from what I believe is our ultimate shared goal – to come back even better than before.
Additional objectives for us at Asset Alliance Group are to continue building a strong, resilient, and successful team and business. We have more recruitment planned, we will continue to modernise our fleet and will be investing further in systems and technology which will enable us to provide the best possible support to our customers.
After all, the haulage, logistics and public transport industries are essential sectors in a strong position for growth and opportunity in 2022, so we see it as our responsibility to support you in any way we can.
On behalf of everyone in our team, I’d like to wish you and your teams, a very healthy, happy and prosperous 2022. We are so looking forward to seeing you in person again soon!
